1 lb ground turkey
1 jar pasta sauce
1 to 2 heads of romaine lettuce
1 to 2 cups shredded Italian cheese (mozzarella/provolone blend)
1/2 cup low carb bread crumbs
spices to taste (season salt, onion, garlic, black pepper & basil)
1 to 2 tbsp of olive oil
Season, mix, form & brown meatballs in olive oil. Cook til internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
Pour half of pasta sauce into 8×8 baking pan. Level sauce, covering the bottom of the pan. Remove meatballs from oil, drain and add to baking pan.
Top meatballs with remaining pasta sauce. Top pasta sauce with cheese til evenly covered.
Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 15 to 20 mins until cheese is fully melted.
Serve meatballs atop romaine leaves.
Garnish w/ Parmesan cheese as you see fit.
