Ingredients – Pancakes
1-1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup to 1-1/2 cup almond milk (depending on desired thickness)
2 tbsp greek yogurt
2-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 to 2 packets of stevia
1/2 tsp salt
Directions – Pancakes
In a bowl, create a well in flour. Pour all ingredients into the well and combine til smooth. Add more milk depending on desired thickness.
Making McGriddles Pancakes
Make pancakes using the egg rings found here
Using a griddle, lightly grease both the griddle and the egg rings. Pour in batter into egg rings using a 1/4 cup measuring cup. Allow the pancake to cook til you see small bubbles rising. Remove egg ring carefully, turn and cook til done.
Note: for a lighter pancake, try Greek Yogurt Pancakes. Then follow the directions for making the McGriddles Pancakes above.
Ingredients – McGriddles
3 eggs or 3/4 cup egg whites
6 to 8 strips bacon or turkey bacon
3 to 4 turkey sausage patties
3 to 4 slices of cheese (preferably not American Cheese, read My Blog & see why)
Directions – McGriddles
Cook eggs, bacon and sausage as you see fit. Stack ingredients and create a sandwich using the pancakes above.
Makes 3 to 4.
